1,000 km from South America, in the heart of the equatorial Pacific, lie the Galapagos Islands, a unique natural paradise in the world. This archipelago, home to incomparable fauna and flora, offers a majestic ecosystem, where mangroves mingle with volcanoes, forests merge with turquoise bays, and white sand beaches become wildlife refuges.
In 1998, two souls in love with this paradise decided to make Isabela their home. Ermanno Zecchettin, an Italian-Ecuadorian with a dreamy spirit, and Marita Velarde, a Peruvian passionate about hospitality, found on the island not just a destination, but a new life. Attracted by the natural beauty and the unique spirit of the island, they decided to open the doors of their home to all those who shared the love for nature and the serenity that Galapagos offers.
La Casa de Marita began as a home that gradually grew, adapting to the needs of family, friends, and travelers who, like them, sought a place where the peace and beauty of the island merged into a unique experience. Their focus on hospitality and respect for the local environment turned the hotel into a local landmark, where every detail reflects their love and dedication to Galapagos.
